News: NIN Registration: How to link your MTN, Glo, Airtel, 9mobile sim with your NIN

MTN, GLO, AIRTEL, 9MOBILE the major phone network providers in Nigeria have improvised an easy and quick steps for subscribers to register their National Identification Number NIN via their Phones.

Following the order the Nigeria Communication Commission gave, anybody using SIM cards to validate their registration by linking their NIN. Quick steps to get NIN registration form.

NCC gives two weeks deadline till 30 December for Telecommunication operators to block all customers that has not registered their SIM Cards with the National Identification Numbers.

You can check your National Identification Number NIN just by using USSD code on your Smart Phone. The National Identity Management Commission ask Nigerians to Dial *346# to retrieve their NIN Number.

The USSD Code is only available for customers using MTN, AIRTEL, 9MOBILE and GLO Network. When you want to register your NIN to your Mobile Number, you will need:

Mobile Number

Full Name

NIN Number (you can check by using *346#)

Email Address

Date of birth.

How to link your NIN to your MTN Number

Visit the Customer NIN Capture https://mtnonline.com/nin/

You will see a form where you will fill in your full name.

Then put your MTN Mobile Number

Type your NIN

Fill in your email address

Then Submit

Mobile short code for MTN

You can also dial *785#

You will be ask to input your 11 digits National Identification Number, then send. You will then receive a success message.

How to link your NIN to your GLO Number [Globacom NIN]

Send UpdateNIN (put space) NIN (put space) First name (put space) and Last Name to 109

How to link your National Identification Number to Airtel Number

Dial *121*1#

Input your 11 digit National Identification Number.

You will now receive Success text message.

How to link your National Identification Number to 9mobile Number.

Visit website https://9mobile.com.ng/nin

Click on the green space where it is writen 'verify and link your NIN now'

Enter your mobile number and fill the requirements .

The Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy has ordered all network providers to cancel the N20 charge for the retrieval of the NIN with immediate effect.

He said this is to make the process the easier and affordable.

It now means all Nigeria can now check their NIN using *346# for free.
